Besakih Temple

Standing tall at the feet of the grandeur Mount Agung in Karangasem regency, Besakih is the biggest temple in Bali. Besakih amazes every visitor with its sacred values and dignity of its location and architecture.

Besakih Temple consists of Penataran Agung Temple at the main complex and with more than 18 temples classified as Kahyangan Jagat, Swagina (profesi) until Warga Temple. The temple’s construction took place during the reign of Kesari and Udayana Warmadewa or around 10th century.
