Taman Ayun Temple
Built in 1634, the temple is the only temple complex exposing the Balinese traditional building structure, Meru. The temple is surrounded with its beautiful lotus garden. The whole temple complex seemingly pictures the Mount Mahameru floating on a milk pond.
The temple in Pecatu Village, Badung, is closely linked to the historical journey of Dang Hyang Dwijendra to Bali around 16th century. Standing on a rocky cliff with wide ocean view as the backdrop, this temple draws much attention from visitors who want to enjoy the sunset or the spectacular show of Kecak dance
